Remembering Our Veterans and Their Families On Saturday, May 28 at Arcadia County Park, Mayor Antonovich invites the public to his 14th Annual Veterans Day event. Many surprises are planned including live entertainment and a special tribute to the armed forces co-hosted by weatherman Fritz Coleman.
Top 10 Programs Honored The Quality and Productivity Commission has honored outstanding County programs deemed to be models of excellence in public service. The commission annually selects 10 programs as the most creative and innovative.
Los Angeles County Day at the Fair a Hit The Sixth Annual Los Angeles County Day at the County Fair in Pomona on Sept. 12 was the most successful yet, based on the large turnout and the interest in County departments’ booths. Fair officials report that 16,394 people used the special $5 admission coupons distributed by the County – the largest ever.
