The County of Los Angeles recognizes excellence and performance by providing comprehensive and competitive benefit programs to its employees. Emphasis is directed toward offering employees a variety of benefits that help meet their needs and balance their career with their personal life. The main theme of all of the programs is flexibility.


Highlights



Employees Can Save Money on Public Transit
County employees can now save money on commuting costs by enrolling in the Commuter Benefit Plan. Beginning May 1, employees can use pre-tax dollars to pay for public transit costs to get to and from work.

Discount Computer Equipment Available to Employees
Significant discounts on selected computer equipment are available to County employees and their families. Available are desktops, laptops and tablet personal computers; monitors and laser printers.

Wellness Classes Offered
Free monthly lunchtime seminars are presented by the County’s medical and dental carriers and the CEO, Employee Assistance Program at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration in Room B-62.

Pre-Retirement Workshops
Free half-day pre-retirement workshops assist employees choose the right retirement date, specific forms, health care, and compute retirement allowance. LACERA recommends attendance at a workshop five years before retirement and then again two years prior.
